As time goes by
i’ll grow a little wiser
a little older
and yet i feel
like this kid on daddy’s shoulders
at the same time i am
acting like a grown up person
like some freaky adult
or a stubborn teenager
but i’m still that small and vulnerable child
mixed up in one person
with emotions all piled up
ready to drink his cup
to the bottom
to that one and most important moment of his life
when i command my spirit
into His hands
forever forgiven
free from sin
free from broken bondage
and fallen friendship
embraced by His love
i lean in Him
until my jars
are filled up to the brim
As time goes by
i grow nearer to my Lord
untill my earthly time runs out and takes a different pace
not anymore i am
forever i’ve been
save in His arms.
i knew it from the start.
